is four. >> okay. thank you very much. commissioner wynns? >> i want to ask a follow-up on that. one of the issues that occurs -- there are a couple of things, first thing as a matter of procedure and appreciate that commissioner maufas correctly is, i think, identified that she was going to abstain and leave the room in this case before we voted on the other item. because even though we know, we have to officially -- she has to identify it before the discuss or the vote takes place. but one of the things that concerns me is that the way we work with non-public schools, and i presume that is one reason why you are advising her to not vote on anything related to non-public school placements is that we just have contracts with them and we could assign people. we could take a child from one non-public school and move them to oaks or take them from oaks and move them somewhere else and that would be problematic, and would like to acknowledge that.in the case of the non-public schools we just say these are the non-public schools that we're going to contract with and it's placement, et cet

wynns. i think about your daughters and i think that those of us who are parents on the school board, there is a sacrifice that comes along with being in public service to our families. and to see your daughters doing as wonderfully and, as well as they are and coming into public service themselves, i think you have been an incredible role-model not only to us, but to your own children. and then you have been the lone male for the last two yearsp [ laughter ], commissioner haney, you are going to feel his pain. i think you handled that well. you have had experience at home with your daughters and wife, but you have always been extremely respectful to everyone's opinions and stuck to your grounds. there is one piece that i really want to honor. you almost lost your life, and you did not give up on your life, nor did you give up on your commitment to public service. and i think that despite this of the challenges you went through, you came through. you are healthy. you have the same passion and commitment to serve our kids. and i think you will do an incredible job for the city.

to congratulate reelected commissioners norton,f vy m wynns, and fewer. congratulations on your reelection. 14 years ago, which makes me seem a little older than i would like to admit, i graduated from morris brown college in georgia. it was due to a huge part for the omega boys club paying for my tuition and providing me as well as many first generation college students the opportunity to go on to college and graduate. so it wasn't just about talking the talk)v)vpñyñ in terms of how we eliminate violence and how we work to make changes andgwñ transformation in the community but it wasn[ñ?ñ? also about the action behind it. having the opportunity to go to school, go to high school, and knowing and understanding that ifc ?ñ? you're part of a program that will be able to pay your tuition, takes the stress=ñ?ñ? off a lot of our students and a lot of cp └u that provide a tangible opportunity for change. so we just want to thank dr. marshall and jack for the work they've done over the past 25 years and the work that they continue -- and not only did they pay college[@kw tui
